 "Get Real" Classes 

 

         

        If you are ready to take the next step at Cameron First Assembly, then our "Get REAL" classes are a great place to start.  These classes are a part of our life development process and each class builds upon the previous class, so yes they must be taken in order.  These classes are offered at various times throughout the year.

       You can check out our calendar of events to see when the next class offering will be.  Middle and High school students are encouraged to take part of these classes.  You can sign up when you visit us at our information bulletin board, or you can express your interest by contacting the church via e-mail (cameron1ag@hotmail.org)  or leaving a message on the answering machine (816-632-3628).

  
  

Get REAL 101- Discovering our Church Family. This class offers a basic introduction the Christian faith as well as First Assemblies unique strategy.  Learn about our Vision, Core Values, and explore the structure of our church and discover the true meaning of committing yourself to a local church. 

 This level has an accompaniment course entitled:  Truth's for Life.  This class takes a little bit deeper look into our fundamental beliefs. 

 Get REAL 201- Discovering Spiritual Maturity- This introduction to becoming a "REAL" follower of Christ cover's topics including Bible study, prayer, fellowship, giving, worship and other basic disciplines of the Christian life.  Prerequisite: Get REAL 101

 This level has two accompaniment classes.  They are REAL Freedom in Christ, which discusses the freedom and authority that we have in Christ and how it pertains to our maturity in Christ.  And also Discovering God's Way About Money.  This class offers practical  insight in how to deal with everyday financial issues such as  debt, budgeting, giving, saving, etc.  

 Get REAL 301-  Discovering My Ministry

Get plugged into ministry in this class by discovering what your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experience means to the way you serve.  Includes an introduction to the complete list of ministry opportunities available at Cameron First. 

Prerequisite:  Complete 101 and 102 Levels

 Get REAL 401-  Discovering My Mission- This session puts you on the journey of discovering your life mission and offers training and tools you'll need to share your fiath in Christ with confidence. Come see how you can become a World Class Christian making a REAL impact in the world for Christ.

  • Minister, missions visionary Dan Sheaffer dies

    Dr. Dan Sheaffer, the former pastor of Crossroads Cathedral (AG) in Oklahoma City, known for effectively raising millions for AG missions and AG higher education, passed away Thursday.

  • Fisherman back on feet, thanks to Convoy, MAPS

    Jimmy Morgan, an oyster fisherman from Louisiana, had his house and boat destroyed by Katrina in 2005. Hundreds of church groups, MAPS teams, Convoy of Hope teams and volunteers headed to the region to help families like the Morgans get back on their feet.

  • India -- becoming the church's greatest opportunity

    Experts are predicting that India will become the most populous country in the world as soon as 2020 — the India Assemblies of God plans to have 25,000 new churches planted by the same date.

  • Dick Gruber honored for work by "Children's Ministry Magazine"

    Dick Gruber, Valley Forge professor and former Children's Ministries consultant for the Assemblies of God, was recognized as one of the top 20 influencers in children's ministry in the September/October issue of Children's Ministry Magazine.

  • Three-time AG college president passes

    Klaude Kendrick, who served as president of three different Assemblies of God institutions of higher education, passed away Saturday. He was 93.
