What to Expect: If you are planning on visiting, don't panic, here is what you can expect: 1. A warm welcome: Don't freak out if a stranger comes up and offers to shake your hand. We want you to know that we are happy you chose to celebrate with us. So don't be bashful just throw your hand out there and give a firm squeeze and a shake. 2. Worship: Listen quietly or actively participate in a celebration of the goodness of God. We have a small band that leads the congregation through both contemporary songs and also some of everyone's all time favorites. If there is a song you don't know, that's okay, the words are provided, and besides we didn't know the song at first either so just jump in a give your best shot. You might see people standing, or sitting. kneeling or bowing. People clapping or lifting their hands in the air, and even jumping or dancing. You might hear people singing, some well and other's not so well. The point is, we don't really care how well you sing, just enjoy singing to the Lord Jesus Christ. You also might hear people shouting or crying. Every service is a little different but these are the things that you might expect. 3. Teaching: Our Pastor will give a practical teaching from the Bible. You can just sit and listen or follow along with the sermon notes provided in the bulletin. 4. Tithes and Offerings: This is a time to worship God through giving by investing in changed lives. If you are a first time guest, don't feel obligated to give. We do ask that if you visiting for a first time that you would fill out a "Thank you for visiting" card, provided in the bulletin and place that in the offering plate as it passes by. 5. Closing Sometimes we close with a song, other times we close by spending time at the altar praying. No matter how we close, if you would like special prayer simply approach the pastor or some one around you after the service. |
